The AKC Breeder of Merit program recognizes responsible breeders who have gone above and beyond on health issues, temperament, and genetic screening, as well as to the individual care and placement of puppies in responsible homes.
Breeders in the United States are listed below. Dates indicate expected litters.
The OHCA encourages prospective otterhound owners to research the breed and the breeders before embarking on the journey of ownership. Otterhounds are large dogs that may not be suitable for all homes. Breeders expect to field many questions about puppies from prospective buyers, and similarly, breeders will ask many questions of prospective owners to ensure their hounds will be placed into the right home.
Although the breeders listed below are in good standing with the OHCA, the club cannot guarantee or accept responsibility for any transactions or disputes that occur between the above breeders and prospective buyers.
